Our Practice

We are a Chancery and commercial set of chambers, covering a broad range of civil work with complementary teams of practitioners undertaking employment, personal injury and family work.

We represent multinationals, small businesses and private individuals, professionals, insolvency practitioners, local authorities and public sector organisations. We are instructed by in-house solicitors and through direct access where permitted. We accept both publicly and privately-funded work, insurance-backed instructions and, where appropriate, conditional fee work. Members cover a wide range of Courts and Tribunals in the North West and beyond and are happy to travel for conferences at the convenience of the client or solicitor. We provide advocacy and advice at all levels of tribunal and undertake a wide range of work from large-scale corporate litigation to cases affecting the rights of individuals. We offer arbitration services and alternative dispute resolution, where litigation can be avoided. Robert Sterling is an arbitrator and Sarah Wheeldon is a qualified family mediator.

Chambers also provides a non-contentious drafting service.
