He was a solicitor and partner at a city centre firm specialising in commercial litigation before transferring to the Bar in 1995.

His specialises in chancery and commercial law, specifically Contract, sale of goods, professional negligence, insurance, consumer credit, banking, land law, commercial landlord & tenant, partnership, insolvency and trusts.
