James Hogg

James completed his pupillage at St. James's Chambers in October 2007 and accepts instructions in all areas of civil law, with a particular emphasis on personal injury litigation and employment law.

His personal injury work encompasses RTA claims, public and employers' liability actions (including industrial disease, stress and harassment cases), and occupiers' liability claims. An increasing area of his practice concerns fraudulent road traffic accidents (whether staged, phantom passenger or LVI) and credit hire litigation.

James regularly appears on behalf of both Claimants and Defendants, both on and off circuit, and is happy to accept Claimant work on a CFA basis. He is regularly instructed in Multi Track litigation and has experience of High Court work.

Outside the normal Court system, James also has experience of CICA and CRU appeals and has been instructed at several Coroner' Inquests.

In his employment practice James accepts instructions on behalf of both Claimants and Respondents in the areas of unfair, constructive and wrongful dismissal as well as all aspects of discrimination law and redundancy.

James advises and drafts in all the areas of his practice, providing thorough, user-friendly advice and wherever possible aims to return papers within 14 days. In his spare time James enjoys socialising with friends, going to the gym and listening to music.
