Barrie Searle
Barrie
Searle has practised in Chambers since 1976 and specialises in family
law, dealing in particular with ancillary relief and Children Act work.
His ancillary relief work focuses on farming, company and business cases.
He
also specialises in personal injury, with a specific emphasis on cases
involving psychiatric injury, clinical and professional negligence.Barrie
undertakes work on behalf of the Police Federation in cases involving
police discipline and civil actions against the police. He represented
four teachers and two police officers in the North Wales Child Abuse Enquiry
1997/8.He
provides three or four seminars per year on current issues in ancillary
relief, cohabitation and personal injury.
Mr Searle was appointed as a Legal Assessor to the Health Professions Council in June 2010.
Barrie
has a longstanding interest in photography and photo-journalism and is
a particularly sporty member of Chambers: He has undertaken charity bike
rides in Israel, Spain and South Africa for the national adoption and
fostering agency Norwood and has raised over £25,000. He also enjoys the
cinema, theatre and his family. |
