St James's Chambers can trace its history back to
1836 when it was situated in St James's Square, Manchester. Chambers in
its present form was established in 1917 by Neville Laski and James Marshall
Easton, who wrote widely on Chancery issues such as trustees, rentcharges
and copyright.
The last two decades have seen a succession of appointments
to the Bench from chambers, and our practice has steadily flourished.
We are firmly established as a leading Chancery and
commercial litigation set in the North of England.
